Job Description:
Designs, installs and evaluates quality assurance/quality control
process sampling systems, procedures, and statistical techniques; designs or specifies inspection and testing mechanisms and
equipment; analyzes production and service limitations and standards; drives continuous improvement projects to
improve product, processes and components; recommends revision of specifications when indicated; formulates or helps formulate
quality assurance/quality control policies and procedures; conducts training on quality assurance/quality control concepts
and tools; and interfaces with all other engineering components within the company and with customers and suppliers on quality-related
issues.
Primary Responsibilities:
Represent The Quality Organization on New Product Development projects.
Champion Continuous Improvement of processes and products
Analyze return goods data and trends and provide support for Return Goods Technicians
Provide Supplier Quality Support in all phases of interaction with suppliers, including development of new parts and
assemblies, improvement of existing parts and assemblies and Corrective Action when necessary.
Job Qualifications:
4 yr degree in engineering, related field or equivalent experience,
Prefer advanced degree
Minimum of 5 years experience as Quality Engineer In an electro-mechanical Assembly
environment with emphasis on driving Continuous Improvement/warranty initiatives
Knowledge
of QA techniques, product design, manufacturing methods and processes
Computer literacy required
ASQ
certification as Engineer, Auditor or Manager preferred
